Hi Guys,, ive sent this in a PM to those who have registered (and will send it to the person who just wants to come around the mountain with us), but here are the planned details.

Due to the fact that the paraparas are winding and unforgiving (with banks on one side and 300 foot drop to the river on the other), for those who haven't been through before it would be a good idea to try to get through in the light. Therefore, I have decided to change the departure time from papakura to 7am. Therefore meeting time for briefing will be 6:45... and will be leaving 7am sharp!

    Planned schedule:
7am leave Papakura, and regroup in Ngaruawahia and on to Te Kuiti (arrive 9:15am)
Full up with petrol in Te Kuiti, leaving 9:45am
Arrive Taumaranui and stop for petrol, leaving 11:15am.
Ride through to whangamomona for a drink, and then onto New Plymouth for lunch stop at 2:15 pm.
Leave NP at 3 pm, we will go around mountain and regroup in Hawera and then continue into Wanganui for petrol and dinner (arriving 5:45, leaving 6:30)
and hopefully will arrive in ohakune before 8pm (before dark)

I know the stops aren't too long, but figured if we have regular stops they don't need to be long, so if you wanna grab a drink and quick bite to eat thats fine, but we need to keep moving to make it to kune in a decent time and see the paraparas in day light!

Also, if you haven't registered by wednesday night, i cannot guarantee accommodation, so would be an idea for you to organise your own.

Hope to see you all bright an early saturday morning!

    Have a great week!

Somewhere, a lone ninja in red camo meditates by his Hornet. Surrounded by lush foliage with the roar of a waterfall subdued by the corona of the sun's rays reflecting from the myriads of dew drops on surfaces ...

A long plaintive song of a native bird heralds a minute change in the universal life force ...

And somewhere, a lone ninja, garbed in his panoply of riding stirs ...
"I like to ride anyplace, anywhere, any time, any way!"

Is it about this time when you get sprayed with mud and moss?

Pity I can't come. Thank god I don't have to meet somewhere at 7am
