    Cool RGV250 Cylinders Wanted

1991 RGV250 Cylinders in need of plating wanted so I can sleeve them for my race bike.

If you have a stuffed cylinder or two or a cylinder head, especially a vertical central plug one I would love to hear from you.

Power valves would be great too.

Decided my TF100 could do with something fancy.

I already have a 32 and 34mm Blue Magnum Flatslide carbs, RS125 chamber and CDI ignition.

If you can help with some RGV bits, even old rod kits powervalves, pistons please PM me.

I have looked hard at a borrowed barrel and realise that with a LA sleeve, 50mm bore and reducing the transfer windows and ducts so they fall in the correct time area for the planed RPM they could be a good cylinder.

you will need to weld up the ex port to reduce the area as well. I built an engine with one of these barrells. I converted a TS125 bottom end to full crankcase reed, you could take the barrell off without disturbing the reed area. LOTS of machining on a mates little mill and then hand grinding. In the end, apart from just getting it to run properly, the water pump was the biggest headache. Ask any of the old school bucket racers who have done this sort of thing - the water pump is the most difficult to get right. Also the single biggest improvement was relocating the plug from slightly offset and at an angle TO central and straight with a proper combustion chamber. Instant horsepower and over a much bigger spread.
