cb125 s oil

Anyone know how much oil is supposed to be in it? There was only 600mils in it when I got it which is probably why it sounded a little rattly but then I changed it and put a 947ml of 10W30 in it ( said 1 litre on the cap but close enough), now it reads as over the full mark and is a little harder to start and rev. So just quick question, from anyone who has owned one. Wasn't really sure if to trust the cap or not.

1l is the norm. Perhaps you had a bit of the old left in.

How much over is it on the dipstick? a few mm or leaking out of the filler?

Nah well over the little gridding thing but it doesn't leak out of the hole, not close. Just seemed like it had to idle a lot higher without stalling but that would be normal after riding it for a bit with just over half what it's suposed to have. So I put 947 in there but it might be a little over because of the oil left over you recon...
