Haha yep I set a deadline of Sunday just been for the consumption of all Xmas/NY chocs with exercise/healthy eating to begin Monday.

Started running but now I've found a box of choc seashells and pack of Tim Tams in the back of the fridge :/. I'll eat the Tim tams since they're already open but the seashells can remain as a test of my resolve!

Here is a little tip my trainer gave me, do cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, watch the fat melt off! Then do cardio before your last meal of the night! I am currently up at 4 AM before work to do cardio, then I go in to train 3 times a week with trainer after working a 12 hours shift on top of that! I hate it! Sundays are my rest days! But I am so looking forward to seeing the changes my body makes come June!

    I'm in.

In 2005 I got up to a huge 115kg (6'1"), many didn't believe me that I was that heavy.
Cause: Dodgy knee (no exercise), moved to a desk job, and consumed too much beer and too many pies!
Went on a biggest looser program, and got down to 93 by Christmas 2006.

Bought a Heart Rate Monitor and a Road Bike (Avanti Giro) at the beginning of 2007 and trained like mad.... Well, not really, just road bikes are addictive.
Apparently I'm a geek, so monitoring my fitness with the HRM was exciting to me....

Results: Down to 86Kg. Entered Club Triathlons, Duathlons, Harriers, MTB events, Tour De Manawatu, and Taupo Cycle challenge, and a whole lot of other stuff.
My bike (CBR) also became very economical, and got a vast improvement in power to weight. That was REALLY noticeable when I finally got back on it.

Anyhow, 2008 was a year for the motorcycle, and enjoying a bit of a life change....
Result: Back to 93 KG. Don't look fat.... But there are extra CM's around my pot.

SO, rather than pork out, I'm really keen to get back to 88kg (86 I look lite death) this year.

I obviously have done it before, so know what works for me....
I'm keen to help anybody needing advise on things.

I will say up front, when we talk about diets, for FFS DO NOT Starve!
You will not loose weight for the long term by starving.

I prefer to call it "Eating Plan".

What ever one you choose will work, as long as you stick to it and do the appropriate exercise (they all say that. It is the two combined, not just the food).
So off for a 50 minute cycle... You got me motivated.

    I'd be keen.
After 30 + years, I have given up smoking...almost two weeks now, but I don't want to put on weight, (and yes, I could do with being a bit fitter)

Time to get back on the horse...

Yep, I'm another one who has let my proper eating regime fall apart. I did Sureslim a couple of years ago and lost 30KG, and I've now put about 13 of those KG back on

In the past 15 months, I have learned to love sushi, nuts and Marmite. Coke Zero and Sprite Zero taste OK, so does coffee without sugar. I now eat breakfast before leaving for work. I am the frequent user of one of those Breville "George Foreman" grill thingies. Vegetables are my friend. Bread does not need to be buttered.

I have lost weight. With a diligent exercise regime I could probably lose more, given that body mass is directly proportional to calorific intake minus calorie usage.

Well done for loosing 30kg on Sureslim! How did you do that?
    Na, don't answer that.....
Don't beat yourself up about putting 15 back on... at least you are about to do something about it now.

I would say you get your exercise in cleaning the grill.
I have one too, but I find it terrible to clean... Other half refuses to.

We have a George Foreman one that goes through the dishwasher. I used to detest cleaning the Breville grill!

My whole family signed up for Sureslim and I was the only one who succeeded (I kept the weight off for two years). So, what did I have that they didn't? Easy. A partner who helped me out.

Cajun loves potatoes and chippies (and so do I), so when he cooked them for himself and I was eating measly vegetables, he'd put a minute portion of whatever he was having on my plate. It gave me a taste of what I was missing and stopped me craving it. Plus, the half-dozen chips weren't enough to stop me losing weight.
