This is not such a good tip.

The biggest fat burning asset you have in your body is muscle. Fuel your muscles to increase your fat burning.
Do your cardio in the afternoon after you've had most of a day of steady calories and energy intake. You will have more fuel onboard and consequently will be able to train harder and get better results.

Expanding on this, if you're getting into the fitness thing you should be including weights of some form into your exercise regime as well as your cardio for the reason specified above. Muscle burns fat.
You dont have to join a gym, there are plenty of other ways to build muscle.

If you like to do your weights in the morning, leave it at least an hour after you get out of bed. This will decrease the likelyhood of a back injury. The discs between your vertebrae swell while you're lying in your bed and need time to relax before you stress them (this is related to why you're taller in the morning than in the evening).

While i'm here, your diet is so important to getting results. Too many people complain about going no where, when the answer is right in front of them.

You need a good balanced diet of red and white meats (including fish if you eat seafood ) Salads and dairy products. A regular serving of unrefined carbs commensurate with the amount of exercise you are doing. Carbs are what fuel your muscles and brain.

    Ultimately, moderation is the key.

Serving sizes are something to consider as well. You may be eating the right stuff, but just far too much. You may not realise it. As you eat more and more, your stomach stretches to accomodate it. If you cut your intake down to what you should be eating, you may not feel full for a little while untill your body sorts itself out again and your stomach shrinks.

I'm in, just off to the climbing centre in Panmure. Happy to have others along! It'll be an evening thing once the schools go back, and it's a great way of building muscle...

Been a bit a.w.l. over the last few days. Been at Parachute 09 at Mystery Creek in Hamilton. But found some interesting dieting tips whilst I was away.
    1. Having to walk 500mtrs to the nearest toilet really kerbs the natural desire to drink fizzy drink.
    2. Knowing you will have to walk 500mtrs to the nearest toilet means you wake up 10 mins earlier and go for a brisk walk before breakfast.
    3. Heat really does make you lose your appetite.
    4. Hot food like milk, cheese, ham and lettuce are not yummy or safe.
    5. Mosh pits are very similar to vigerous aerobic classes, but with no instructor and no leaving class before its over.
    6. Chilled water is the best tasting drink on the planet, even when it has dust in it.
I wouldn’t be broke if the voices in my head paid rent
