How about a non-track-virgin who will be just worried about remembering that it's not bucket racing and that it's not a race, so no dodgy passing manouvers, no blocking people trying to pass you, no taking others out and if I crash I'll hurt my precious baby (the bike, no I am not hapu!)
Nah, surely there's some lovely lady out there trying it for the first time? You might find someone on the day, maybe a non-KBer who is trying it out for the very first time??
I'm hoping to do a track day for the first time sometime soon, but it won't be at Manfeild, so probably no use to ya sorry![]()
Okey Dokey...
There appears to a dearth of (trackday) virgins ...and I gave up on finding three wise men many years ago, soooooooo...
I now have two lovely women that have offered to help me out with the article - THANKS ladies.
I would be really keen to capture all the ladies in their bike gear, on or near their bikes at some stage in the early afternoon next Sunday for a photo opportunity to support the article.
If we all spread the word both internal and external to KB we have a good chance of getting an AWESOME shot!!!
Vicki (Flame) has offered to be on hand for anyone that wants to ask any questions, get some tips etc, and will bring her road bike for a tootle around the track (just need to make sure that VMCC are ok with her going in the novice class for this)
If anyone else is keen to have some input and wants to put up there hand - please PM me.![]()

only four days to go
Ive contacted VMCC and they are happy for me to take you gals out there! so lets see if we can get a few more eh.
The pace will be really cautious and suitable for pretty much any roadworthy set of wheels, so no need for any new riders to worry. It will be fun
PM Chrissy (her_B4) or me if you'd like to know more
Awesome news Flame![]()

Have toKarma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
Gee Chrissie i didnt know you started this thread about 1st time female riders doing a Track Day, as last weekend was my very 1st time in over 20 yrs that I have been in the riders seat going around a race track. It was a bloody awesome feeling riding out there on the Ninja and a great experience knowing and getting the feel of what it is like to go around Manfeild instead of standing behind the wall at our Vic Club race meets watching the racers doing it. Hoping to get out on ours this Sunday but my priority is making sure the day runs smoothly and helping out as much as I can to make it a good day for all those who turn up.
Great stuff V. Sorry I have been a bit slack - busy working and also trying to fill everyones orders for photo's and haven't been able to give any this much headspace..
REALLY keen to talk to everyone and get some feedback about the experience and what they feel they have gained (or lost) - the good the bad - the ugly etc..
Fantastic that you are giving everyone this time- can we confirm a time for a photo? Say maybe 12.30 or is that too early for you?
If it is raining then we will make use of the pit sheds etc. but keen to get as many women riders and their bikes together in one pic as i can.
Never too late is my motto SueI will come and have a chat
