Just checked the topo map for shingle to Kopara and it looks like one section of 12.3km and one section of 5.2km, so 17.5km in total if the map is accurate.

Plains stay at Nelson Creek for Labour weekend to watch the street races in grey. Went up to Kopara last year, and the land is up for sale. Only about 1/2k of shingle, going in from Nelson Creek. If its still up and running, ideal location.
