The first one was south, the second one was north, the third one was south. Where to next time.

So far they have all been the 2nd week of December. Is everyone still happy with that date, or should it be earlier?
if we keep it the same all the time then every one knows & can book their time off etc...

On the west coast... Charleston or Granity. A great day ride to Karamea...

Nothing wrong with the 2nd weekend in December.

    BUT
Seeing as there are those amoung us who are challenged by the thought of riding on shingle roads...................

That puts that out of contention I guess
Location sounds and looks perfect. Gravel be damned!

yah didn't say that at Kakia Point...

How much gravel... I don't mind a little bit of gravel (a few k's) but gets a bit tiresome on the arms after to much...

(Xaria may be on her new bike by then... and will probably handle it better than me... )

Mapua is a beach camp between Nelson and Motueka. Its fame is that it's "clothing optional".

I wouldn't bother riding Arthurs this w/e the road will be choker with cages coming and going from the the Kumara races that are on Sat.
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

Russell Rd, Whangaruru, Northland - New Zealand | Phone: 09-433 6894 | info@thefarm.co.nz - Somehow I don't believe this would qualify as a South Island Rally venue.

But seriously - the closer to the top of the S.I the greater the chance of a few Northies coming over...(that may or may not be a good thing!)
what about St Anaurd? or somewhere in Nelson area
