Good thought on not wanting to bother the neighbours, however...
    (1) feels like we are banishing ourselves to the arse end of nowhere
    (2) having walked the Heaphy track i would be very surprised if the West Coast sandflies are not resident there
    (3) the ride is important- Mapua has the Takaka Hill (why should you have it all to yourself), Murchison has the Buller Gorge, Kaikoura had..well you get the picture

    1. Danseys was not the arse end of nowhere, just nobody for miles and miles and ..... bugger... I think it must have been. But the roads to the place were good.
    2. Done it twice. Walked from Collingwood to Karamea... there two days and walked back. You just have to show them who's boss....
    3. Important !!! ... that would have to be an understatement. A round the block ride ... wherever its held...

What about friday night in Picton, and meet/ride on saturday, to the picked destination...... Bluff ???

I have asked some questions, and will publish these when answers received.
Been there once - very nice place. Lodges are far enough apart that noise in one shouldn't disturb the others too badly. It will be bit of a squash sticking 40+ in one, so would probably have to hire a few outright.

However, as far as I could tell there is no real open outdoor area... would make a bonfire somewhat difficult.

I am glad other people are mentioning Seddonville too....It would be my first choice and I mentioned it as a possibility in about post #25...... I was there a number of years ago and had a blast...the facilities are rustic, but no worse than Staging Post...we could make as much noise as possible and not upset the local hillbillies...and as MyGSXF mentioned there is the possibility of booking the entire camp..!

If I remember right the Seddonville camp has a good sized concrete pad that could be used for burnouts!!!!

We might have to hold FJRider to that promise lol

Im sure his ride can do a better one than my attempt at the stageing post

Seddonville does sound like a likely candidate for the gathering

Focus people. Don't you think we should decide on a badge first, then we could find a place to suit.

If it is gonna be the west coast then its synonymous with pigs, and by relation to pigs, synonymous to Hillbillies...so all we need is a deliverance styled badge!

No need to show off, or show up other Yamaha riders...

    A likely candidate indeed...

Hmmm, don't be quite so free with your use of the word 'pig'.

    Hi Chris,
Thank you for your inquiry. We can accommodate up to 50
people and that includes camp sites to reserve the entire retreat the
cost is $1,500 per day, if the number is any higher we could always put
an extra couple of mattressses on the floor. Please check out our
www.tenikauretreat.co.nz for more details. As we adjoin the national
park we cannot have fires but feel free to bring a BBQ. If you have any
more questions feel free to drop me a line.
    Kind regards
    Lisa

So no fires, but depending on the numbers $1500 is not bad if we get 50 plus attending for a flate $ rate.
Anyway just throwing "Te Nikau" into the mix for poll choice.
