All joking aside, i will be along and chillin near the back with tools and know-how.

Anyone has any problems, just pull over and wait for the 4 TEC's to catch you up, they WILL stop to help you out. No rider gets left behind!

Great to see so many new riders comin along. Be sure to listen to the briefing at the start and all will be well. Group rides can be a LOT of fun, but they can also be the cause of much aggravation and problems if people arent considerate of those around them, and the group ride etiquette.

Between Toto and m'self we should be putting on a fair few noobie rides over summer, so keep your eyes peeled

yea same here! may tighten my chain etc tomorrow, too lazy to do it now! gunna be leaving the togs etc at home though, im allergic to fun haha.

now fingers crossed there will be no tar bleeds and especially on the road up to waipu! haha (after mangawhai) ive heard horror stories

well if you see me / others go sliding just slow down XD

i managed to fit a towel under my rear seat! so no bag for me

well im off to do the first part of this ride, im bored so i might aswell check road conditions

no room under my seat, its filled with a spare clutch cable

and a stupid ecu/cdi/watever its called.

i hit some massive tar bleeds yesterday in dairy flat, sent me across my lane. . . but yea will do, saw those pics of your old fairings, dont want that on my shiny red ones haha

Don't suppose you happen to have a tyre pressure gauge amongst that stuff? Pulled my cool little digital one out at the gassie today only to find that it must have gotten wet at some stage

i do indeed

ideally tyre pressures should be set when cold, but a check when a tad warmed before we set off in the morning is better than naught

remind me in the morning and you can nick it

Ah you have tools?? Would you happen to have a pin wrench? I need one to loosen the nut to adjust my suspension, tried doing it by hand but... haha.

If you're talking about the notched spanner to adjust the rear shock preload, I will have one with me.

Pin wrench? i'm guessin you mean a C-spanner. Dont have one of those on me, as suspension adjustment on the rear usualkly involves rippin the back half of the bike to bits

Was a good day for it. Sorry I had to bail at Wellsford, but I had promised the kids to take them swimming at the local school pool (bloody nice it was too).

Had a good ride home too...down SH16 and turned off at Woodcocks, got halfway across to Warkworth then turned off on to the Aruhoa (sp) road to Puhoi to get some dirt under the wheels. Then from Puhoi over the dirt roads to the back of Silverdale.

God I love having a dual purpose bike

P.S. Next ride, can everybody who wants to go please fill up before going to the meeting point
