    "Under Armour" gear

I have read the odd post that mentions "under armour" clothing, supposedly available from sports shops and outdoor shops, but the search engine refuses to reveal the whereabouts of those posts...which brings me back to asking again where this stuff is available from...and maybe just what it is so that I can explain it in half syllable words to the dumbarse shop assistants (oxymoron if ever there was) that I have to deal with...
The local branch of Rebel Sports dude went "...aaaaaaa...wot...?". If paying peanuts gets you monkeys, this guy must've been paying THEM to work there...but shop assistants are another story....
So. Please tell me again about this...

Check out a shop that caters to horse riders. Especially those invilved in the jumps.

    They sell body armour.

This I know as one of my brothers wears a set under his jackets.

Try the Oxford range of products.

The silk under wear for bikers is really good.

I got a suit from extreme racing which is probably very similar: http://www.extremeracing.co.uk/

Works really well at stopping you from sweating like a pig. Arrived in less than a week.

Not hugely cooler but way more comfortable. Seems to regulate temp well as at night you don't get as cold.

I've seen 'Under Armour' and similar body contoured pants and shirts at all the big name sports stores - Stirling sports, Rebel etc..

I got some long pants for under my leather pants... makes it easier to slip out of They work but compared to the Oxford gear they seem to make me sweat more. Not sure why but I'll probably still stick with them esp. over summer. For Winter, Oxford is better with the windproof layer.

As mentioned here for Summer I also use a short sleeve Merino thermal shirt. Not from The Warehouse but a Kathmandu one which seems to be quite comfortable and cool.

    Hope this helps

It is distinctly possible that the guy I dealt with at Rebel was a refugee from the simian community...maybe I should try another shop...!

BTW where did you get your Oxford gear from?

You'll never get it off if you do that Don't get your balls stuck in the zip either

Seriously, check out the Extreme Racing suits I mentioned above. They have a 1pc and a 2pc and are designed for summer riding under leathers.

And also check out the REV'IT! socks. They're great too.
