Something like this fellow, I'd imagine.

Who seems to have fine taste in motorcycles; SV650s do make good commuters.

I can understand that but... when cooked properly - it takes a lot of beating! Roasted slowly, brown sugar on it, up on a cake rack so the fat drips off it.

Wait till it's el fall-aparto (like el dente but falls apart to the touch). Warm mutton between two fresh slices of white death, bit of mint sauce... (mint jelly's better... non soggy) farken beautiful!

So Jimmy loves Jimmy's Pies? Who'd have thunk it.

Every trip through Roxburgh requires a stop at Jimmy's Pie Shop for a mutton pie. With mint sauce, of course.

Mmmm Mutton pies, seems that the scottish influence down here in Invers means they're here too. McJim discovered them the other day and is now in pie heaven (the taste of home). If you get stuck I can freeze and post some up in a cooler box.

Have a hunt around, there might be some specialities shops around. The Mutton pies we get are from the supermarket, brand is: Kaye's Bakery, 19 Onslow Street, Invercargill. Mutton, flour, water, animal fat, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and 7th heaven for you. You could look them up in the whitepages, bribe them and get them to send you up a heap!

Good luck with the search up in Aucks. I found a place in Howick, guy operates from home and makes lots of Scottish food. He might be able to do you some Mutton pies. It's called The Scottish Bakery or something like that.

    Mutton pies?
    Ooglee.....
There's no real way to get rid of the gnarsty-tasting fatty acids, oils, lipids and whatnot that distinguish mutton from lamb.

    No thanks.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

The after taste is far better than Mc Donalds, and people eat that shit wolrd wide.

One of the best things about mutton is that it's free, so long as you have a ute and a tarp and the farmer's not watching.
