A grotesquely bad ad as is the even worse radio ad rendition. It sounds like bad dads deserve hellfire and brimstone.

Nothing bout skill or appropriate speed. Re Motus daughters differing styles I knew a top road safety guy who strongly advocated talk driving which is good for those with less environment attunement. It involves learners verbalising what they see of their surroundings as theyscan while they drive. It gets the frontal lobe which is deficient in under 25s running better as I understand it.

The main thing I take from that ad is that men are stupid, women know best but are truly wimpy and won't take the wheel or stand up to dicks. There is no positive example set - because they just want to curry more support for tickets by villifying those over the limit. Oh yes - and now we know aliens kill speeders, a big help.

Also in real life if your relly drives bad you usually learn from that not emulate it. My Aunt sat license 3 x then my grandad bribed cop to give it back in the day. She was a scary driver but her kids are all good. Again they invent theories about attitude transmission with no specific evidence. These ads kill by wasting money that could be more sanely spent

The only thing in his blood was bad acting!!!! Maybe he could get a walk on part in Shortland street and improve the watchability of the show!! AS for young Timmy and his girlfreind I hope they were wearing thier seatbelts or thier blood would be all over the windscreen! Fuck road safety new zealand how about giving us some real gorey adds, like the one where the hot chick goes through the windscreen and lands on the bonnet of the maori fellas car while he's driving the kids back from rugby or my favourite The Bogan Barbecue where a car full of bogans driving around lose control and roll down a bank and one guy escapes to hear his mates scream Mark Mark the cars on fire!!! Yeah thats a classic! Maybe Road safety NZ need to hire Quentin Tarantino to film thier adds!!!

Every community seems to have the need to bag some sub set of the communty (look at KB!). Why should the driving community be any different? In the UK it is Asian drivers (Indian, Pakistani, Bengali, Sri Lankan etc.) rather than Oriental drivers (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, Korean etc.) that are deemed the ones to watch out for.

Me? I never had an accident in the UK. I have been T boned twice in Auckland in as many years while going through a green light - once by a Maori and once by a Tongan. Go figure. Never had a problem with the Orientals at all.

Asian rep is not deserved in my opinion. White people driving Holdens however are a menace to society.

Huh my whole family is Asian, so what does that make me? A bad rider? Maybe...

I'm positive that there is a contradiction of terms in there...
