Went today. Great racing, good crowd and weather. Id love to see Andrew Rangi (#46) with a few more ponies than the SV650 has. Mind you, he had that thing purring. Tanner was class and that Aprilia is a sweet ride!
However-one negative. And thats the clown masquerading as the track announcer. Couple of quotes - the first when 2 of the quickest guys went down at the end of the straight at reasonably good speed. One was obviously in a bit of pain and he said 'looks like one rider has stayed down. He must have broken a finger nail, we'll get the Avon lady on standby'.
The second quote from this dickhead 'all you guys riding home, take it easy. We all know what happened in Akaroa-just let the car drivers take each other out'.
    The guy was a plonker.

Yeah sometimes phill can get a bit carried away However its one thing to find someone as knowledgeable about south island street racing as he, and another to get someone to actually want to do the job.

Does anyone Know how(raymond) Scott Mcmurray is doing? Im pretty sure it was him that was lying on the track? He didnt look to flash when i rode passed? I hope hes doing ok? He was fighting for the lead in both F2 and Supermotard S1.

Yeah-local rag said there were 2 'serious' injuries. No other details.

Exactly what I was going to say- he comentated solo from around 10am through to 5pm. If I talked for that long, I'd be making a few mistakes too.

As I was riding, I didnt hear what he was saying. But by the sounds of things he upset a few people.

As people have said, Its hard to find someone to do that job. but there are things you simply dont say regardless of being tired or not.

Had a great day of racing regardless. Fantastic weekend!

Hey Sparky, my wife took a pic of you (I think) on the grid...its coz I'm in the background. She didn't get anything of you in action, because she was only interested in moi....and we weren't occupying the same real estate
