Damn - I left Auckland too soon.

The advantage of being a known nana is that people will lend you their hooligan machines though....only yesterday I was riding a KTM Supermoto 990.....

    D,

We can probably do a car swap for the weekend if he's insurable on our policy (we have a towbar)

I'm doing RRRS on Sunday, or I'd be all over this.

You can trailer it there and back in return for gas money if you already happen to be going, or get your jollies riding it down (and spending a day in sunny Taupo) if you're insurable on the owner's policy.

The owner (a colleague of mine) has just upgraded from a Hobag 250 and doesn't feel quite comfortable on the open road yet. Give him his due; he's doing his learning in the best possible environment.

So he's driving his car down to the trackday, but doesn't have a towbar or trailer.

The bike needs to be at Taupo track by 8:30am on Saturday 17 January, and back in Auckland by sometime on Sunday.

    Any takers?

C'mon, it's an 848. Imagine riding something like that along Old Taupo Road. Ye gods.

Mate, I'll ride it down for your colleague and back, you know I can ride and I promise not to wheelie it ! It would be an awesome test ride as I am looking at buying on of these Can you check if I'd be insured with his insurers and get back to me, you have my cell aye Dan.

Girls love a strong, decisive man, y'know.

But, if that doesn't work, I hear Ducatis pull them pretty well too.

Oh, and it's totally gay to pick an online handle that's just the name of your bike. Quick, come up with something better and change it. You don't want people thinking you're anything like YamahaR64Life, trust me.
