you may be too old, OR just different strokes for different folks love, I have come across a lot of men and women around your age (took a look at your profile hehe) who ARE into rave, trance, House etc etc. If you couldn't get into it even when you took the right jubes, then yep, it's just not your thing.. hehe...

it's like me, I went to "boogie wonderland" in auckland city and to be honest I just couldnt get into it that night no matter how much I drank... 70's disco etc was what was playing... then again, I do like the Bee Gees etc... generally I guess it's not my thing, but there are snippets that I do enjoy. I guess one just needs to find a niche in a certain genre that appeals, and if you dont, well, it's just not your thing ... hehe...

    Groove Armada are amazing.
My Friend, At the River and Easy are my favourites.

The violins work so well, sounds better on the album though.

There was some good tunes to come out of the late 80's and early-mid 90's

My fav's of this era were
Technotronic ( with a track eventually hitting #2 on the Hot 100 in late 1989/early 1990, becoming the first ever house record to break through to the pop mainstream)
    The KLF
    Eskimos in Egypt
    Bingo Boys
...to name a few. I still have some 12" EP's lying around. It's all (if not a little dated) still great stuff!!
If it ain't broke...fix it till it is!!

    Im a fan too!!!
Went to a sweet rave in Dunedin in my first year 'Crave' - rave in a cave on long beach.
Was the best one I have ever been to, pity they cancelled it the year after, citing 'damage to the beach' which seemed a bit bullshit to me cos there was always big clean-ups afterwards

It's really drum 'n bass and not electronica, but here's the title track of an album by band probably unknown here in good old NZ.

Chill out to 'Londinium' by Archive, with possibly the most haunting end to any song I've ever heard - think The Beatles 'A Day In The Life' for reference...
