Two strong paper clips s, bend the one and use it as a tension wrench and straighten the other and use it to pick at the pins. Then voila she will open with some fiddling

Most of the older cupboard keys are very basic and theres not too many different types, If you know roughly what it looks like a locksmith or key cutter will most likely have it on the shelf, if its a padlock, just cut it or if it looks like a door lock you can drill it straight through the guts and just replace the lock later.

If the key has a hole in the end of the shaft (can you see a pin in the centre of the key hole?) there are only 3 or 4 premade keys in that very popular type of lock. From memory that is.

I checked the lock .. and there doesn't appear to be a pin in it.

It looks like an older style key, but it is a more modern cupboard.
The door looks like it overlays the carcase.
Is there the same door on the other side of the cabinet? If so, once again, piccies please.
