Have you ever ridden down to the bottom of the Pouto peninsula? Great road, and it turns to gravel some ways before the end, if I recall correctly.
Yous fullas do all realise that they've cut down all the pines surrounding the main lake over the last couple of years, aye?

I was last there maybe 5 years ago...
Yup. It sucks. Really spoils the look of the place, IMHO. Last summer the area around the lake that used to be a border of pines in between the water and the farmland was all just chewed-up tracks, bare hillsides and logging detritus.
(I notice that Google Earth still shows the trees - satellite photos cover that area, the high-res aerial photography starts just to the north of the lakes.)

I'm in, it is my first born son birthday, 25.01.2000 , just like his dad he is bike craze , when he was 4 year old he had pw50 yamaha and he recognize any brand and model of road bike from distance as their go pass , now he ride 125 pit bike and his spelling is better then mine . Biker boy is coming with me for ride, that will be his birthday gift from me .
PS It is only way my wife will let me out 3rd weekend in the row but I have to ask her first .
in the event that I get over my recent loss of bikeand decide to come, i will be caging it
