    S#*t of a day!

Took my bike to work last night,as i got one of the engineers to make a bracket up for a GPS mount.I finished at 6am this morning, just itching to go the long way home,as the weather here is meant to turn to custard this weekend,i just felt like a bit of a thrash.

I loaded up my bag in the usual way, with my wallet, cell phone, and a few miscellaneous articles stuffed in a beanie near the top of my bag.

Off i go,only to have one of the workers pull out in front of me,and after a bit of a motard moment,i managed to avoid an otherwise immenent collision.

3o odd kms later, and fast approaching home,i notice something flapping from out of the top of my bag.OH FUCK......it's my work gears, and they are at the bottom of my bag, which means the rest will be scattered on the road.

So i get home and check my bag, only to confirm my worst fears.Phone and wallet, with my bank cards and license are gone.NOOOOOOOOOO...........

I jumped straight in the cage, and back tracked the way i came.I thought i would have no chance if i'd dropped them in town,as someone would have picked them up for sure. BUT as luck would have it,they were lying scattered over a 50 metre radius on the side of the highway, about 10 kms from home. The bank cards and license were still in the wallet, but every thing else took an hour to gather up,and that's when i noticed my phone. The sound of a truck and trailer running something over drew my attention, and by then,it was history.I'm no phone fanatic, but i had a lot of phone numbers that i won't be able to retrieve,as the sim and memory cards were wasted.
B.T.W......the last phone i had, fell out of my pocket running across the road in town, and suffered a similar fate.

So.....i'm hoping for some fine weather to go for a blat this weekend to blow away the bad luck blues.

Vodaphone can retrieve numbers if you hae sim number, but only if they can be bothered doing it.

Bit like our piss trip around the south island 25yrs ago,we are in Queenstown, booked a heli-jet trip. The courtesy van picked us up,away we went, arrived back about 2hrs later, all loaded in our van,as we left a guy waved to us,we stopped,on the roof was one guys camera,he was pissed as he thought it was left on the jetboat.Pretty lucky as he had 20 pics on it which once developed were not bad.

Think pozzie mate, glass half full time. You didn't get taken out by a work mate = result.

You didn't lose anything out your wallet and no thieving scummy got it = result.

Your phone was poked but no-one got to f#ck with it and your numbers remain private = result.

Finally, youv'e got a brand new GPS mount and a new phone and I'm about to bling your ass for a good tale told = not a bad day at all
    Oh bugger

Most those 0900 numbers will still be hidden under your mattress.

bugger, but at least you managed to rescue the important side of it all.

take the broekn ph into voda and see if they can get any numbers out of it. they should be willing to help you.

    Cheers Marty'.

I'm extremely pleased with the mount,as i was looking at about $200 to buy one,but my mate made it for nothing. And yeah...what an emotional roller coaster it was.First,to realise i'd lost my wallet e.t.c,which also had all my internet banking details in it ,then to find it all again. One thing i was most pleased about, was a favourite photo of my son,in his under 7s league uniform, but i recovered that aswell.

Yeah. The license was one of my main concerns.
As for the phone,i was sick of the vodafone reception around here,so i've changed to telecom. The sim card, and micro SD were destroyed, and that's where my numbers were located, but i've managed to get about 3/4 of them back.
