    Yet to this day...

There's nothing better nor more refreshing, than an ice cold Steinlager on a hot day.

    Fact. Cause I said so.

Standard Steinlager gives me a headache, but that 'Pure' version is the bee's knees.

Sorry mate. 'Pure' was invented so chicks could drink and enjoy Steinlager too.

    Harden up.

Steinlager Pure is advertised as 'no additives, no preservatives'.

Which particular additives and preservatives in the cheaper version do you consider masculine?

Therein lies the advertising wank mate. Steinlarger is as pure as Steinlager 'Pure'. There are no added chemicals at all in Steinlager 'Classic' as they're now calling it. It to this day is the only beer that's won enough international awards that the organizers of said awards have asked nicely if they'd refrain from entering their larger so someone else could win.

Certain alcohoilc drinks knock me about...luckily for me...Steinie ain't one of them.

Hate to say it mate...but I'd rather drink my own piss. At least it's recycled Steinlager. Each to their own though!

Nicely paraphrased off the website there, dude. Do you think I didn't check it too before posting?

And, I call bollocks to your claim. If you read the advertising carefully, it says that "natural blah blah" is used in standard Steinlager, but does not exclude the possibility of other ingredients, too.

Would you like to bet on it?

You've obviously been exposed to their advertising bollocks on a regular basis, then.

How about we just pick up the phone and call Lion Nathan and ask the question "Does standard Steinlager include any ingredients other than water, malt, hops and yeast?"

... and the one who loses can pay for the dozen each?

I'll be all over it tomorrow, and one of us will be a dozen lagers richer the next time I'm down your way.
