I'm on the Bombay Sapphire and Schweppes. Mostly cos that's all there was in the fridge.
If there's a loophole, they'll sneak through it. Or, quite possibly, my cynicism just cost me twelve Steinies. And I've had far more expensive life lessons than that...
Edit: Initial interweb digging indicates that Steinlager Classic has sugar in it.

Whatever happened to the Steinie Blue?
Americans have discovered India Pale Ale, which they refer to as IPA. It's all micro-brewed and generally excellent. This from the same country that brought you Bud, Miller's and Coors. Unbelievably really.

Thank God for beer. I love it. Must try Monteith's Pale Ale.
For many years myself and 3 buddies have had "beerfests" on Jan 1st which involve a nice day sampling brews while enjoying the summer sun, and having a barbie. This year we tried 16 different beers. Our palates are probably pretty mellow later in the afternoon, it's no high brow event with tasting notes! We just crack 'em open and drink them, chatting about how much we like/dislike it, etc.
We do mostly lager-type brews; from memory Radler, Summer Ale, Stella Artois, Corona, Sol, Miller Chill, Sundance, Rogue Hop, Classy Red, Emersons Winter something or other (tasted like cloves?), Monteith's Original....hmmm, there were 2 other Emersons but I can't recall their names off the top of my head, plus some others. Anyhoo, you get the drift.
We are very lucky to have a friend who always attends and doesn't drink alcohol. That person prevents the steaks being burnt.
We start around noon and just cruise through the afternoon, and wrap up dinner with a wine or two in the evening. I guess because we take a long time drinking we are all okay the next morning, which is nice, too.
The best time of year for beer is Mac's Brewery's Brewjolais season. I canardly wait for this year's.
