Thanks for the support, had a farkn good day and was well pleased with the results. Ended up with a 4th in the first race and a 5th in the second. Think I got about 11th in the Robert Holden race too.

First F2 race was the highlight of the day, getting the holeshot and leading for a while. Doesn't make me feel too bad when it's guys like Craig Shirrifs and Andrew Stroud that got past. My placings had me in 4th for the day and that put me 3rd in F2 for the BOTS series so am chuffed with that placing.

Oh and (sponsors plug time).....was on the new Metzeler Racetechs and they are mint tyres and were real grippy all day - go try them!

Great catching up with the KBers I saw down there and well done to the other KB riders, great first efforts MR and KK - you've broken your streets virginity!

    Cheers,
    Nicko
Fucking awesome stuff Nicko, the K4 was what you really needed to shoot you to the front.... You already had huge respect from me with your racing, but farrrrrkkk leading stroud and sherrifs.... thats fucking amazing top stuff, and im sorry i couldnt be there....

Will be trying for the Nats at Puke though...

TOP day! Met up with heaps of peoples, but only one KB'er... Saw a few t-shirts across the track at times & didn't spend enough time wandering the pits. Neva mind, always next time.

    Bloody awsome work!!
I didnt get to meet too many Kbers out there, but will in the near future.

If anyone has any doubts about racing at Paeroa..?
Just ask anyone whos raced there, and they will give ya a big slap!
Its great! Fast, Bumpy, Hilly, Cornery, and stoppy! with the odd wheelie and Stoppie here and there. (loved the back straight!)

Ill fully agree with you Sparky!

Go out and do it guys!

Then again after some comments made about me today (after being told it was all good to my face) it might pay to learn to ride first, or at least it seems be that way in my case.

I know freddie merkel etc does teaching days @ taupo, but anyone do them for street circuits? I am in need of some serious training. Hey, the MR Maybe you could teach me around some of those backroads out your way!

    Anyways.

    Great company for Paeroa ride

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting Kbers at Clevedon for the ride to Paeroa. I only just discovered the site on Friday at work, browsing for directions. I know: d'uh.

Ride down was fun until I got blown away around Miranda. My GSX-R had only 500km on the clock, & I'm still running it in, so I couldn't exceed 6,000 rpm. Mind you, I did flick it up to 7,000rpm a copuple of times, then 8,000. Lucky it had been running for an hour or so, so would have lots of oil circulating.

I remember meeting Vifferman and Stroker Girl, sorry can't remember the others. Sadly I didn't know any kbers were racing, but there's always next time.
    Cheers,
    David

Que? How else do you learn except by going and doing it? Sounds like you're doing alright, and some elitist dork is just being a dick. You probably gave someone a fright at being quick enough to race with people on your first visit. Ignore the downers (unless you can learn something from what they say) and listen to the people who have constructive criticism. Bloody backstabbing babies by the sound of it.

You rock! Thanks for the excellent write up too.

Awesome, Honda Team will be pleased with that. Know I am really gutted that I didn't make it Sound like the KB'ers are all doing well.
    Well done MR and KK.
Will have to down load the Pic's so I can put them on the big screen this WE. If anyone has some video footage that would be cool too (bring it along as I only have dial-up).

    Hi again, Saiko / David.
Good to meet you on Sunday - nice bike. Shame it didn't have any helmet lock, eh?
So, is it run in now?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
