TS nicko was doing awsome, first race he was leaving craig shieffes for a couple of laps, then thru out the race got swamped a bit i think he got 4-5

in the second race he got 5th also, So i guess he would make it as one of the top KBers and i must say awsome riding to keep craig sheiffes behind him for a couple of laps, we all know what this guy can do other riders riding 1000 let alone a 600

Firstly - this one is just weird..... Awesome wheelie, but what is that guy doing to the rubbish bin???? :spudwhat: :spudwhat:

Secondly - this guy is a legend.... No, he's not just resting, he races like that - note the lack of controls on the left bar......

    Was an awesome day!

The day started off me picking up KK's bike for him and riding it over (his street bike). Met up at shell papakura...err clevedon (eventually, haha, sorry guys).

The ride over was sweet, i left at the back of a very big pack, and by the time i decided to overtake the slow group, the fast group had already gone ahead, so I was sorta stuck in the middle with no one infront or behind me.. not good when you dont know the way! Eventually we all stopped and regrouped and then carried on.

The riding was awesome to watch. MR and KK were putting on an awesome show. They both rode really well considering it was there first time too!

Laugh of the day would have to be seeing KK coming around the kink before the hairpin smoking, and thinking 'oh no, the bikes on fire...AGAIN!' hahah.

Thanks to KK, chris, erik, milky, pt, spank, and heaps of others for the good company at the track.

(oh, Logan bro, you always seem to attract guys who want to mount you... whats all that about eh boy!?)

    I'm glad I went...

    ...because I wasn't going to!
Despite it being an awesome day, weather-wise (and othewise, as it turned out), I was feeling like shit, so I wasn't going to go. The vifferbabe talked me into it, and with some scurrying around, we actually made it to Clevedon on time - and earlier than some other folx!
To those who I met at Shell Clevedon and at the next stop (Kaiaua??) if I seemed like a dick, that's because I am, and if I seemed antisocial and it was weird me not taking my helmet off, that's because it took some organising to get the intercom headphones sitting just right and I didn't want to stuff it up. As it turned out, I had to take them off at the second stop, because the bloody things were clicking badly whenever we got over about 90km/h, and by the time I sorted that and put earplugs in, we'd been left behind .
So we tagged along with a couple of strangers, and followed them into Paeroa via Kopu. Ended up riding with a bunch of guys on V-twins, some of whom were doing some fairly insane passes, and two-up monos!

The racing (what we saw of it, which wasn't a lot) was pretty good and the vifferbabe really enjoyed the day, despite not catching up with the other KBers (apart from SpankMe) at Paeroa, and despite getting a headache. We headed off after the Formula Paeroa race, and stopped in Ngatea for an icecream and to sort the intercom out and put the spud back in the Satantune (I was getting paranoid about going past cops on the way back). We went back via the main highway - a bit boring and heaps of traffic, so we tagged behind a guy on a Ducati 750 and another guy. It was interesting to out-tow the Ducati up the Bombay Hills two-up, and without changing down!
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Highlight of the day for me had to be Jared Love winning the Robert Holden Mem race. Awesome!

Nicko, KK, MR great going guys. KK and MR we were gonna say hi but you guys were a little busy when we walked by.

Had a good ride home bypassing Matamata. Alltho the Dick head HP south of Paeroa pissed a heap of us off driving along forgeting to switch off Red and Blues. The tossa.

    Awesome day.

Yeah, we saw one too, who didn't seem to be pulling anyone over, or in a hurry or anything, just driving along with the lights going. Tell you what - everyone slowed down, even though we were all crawling along at only 85 at the time! Good thing about the slow speed of the traffic was I was able to overtake without breaking the speed limit! (Don't want to add to the 40 points of my last ticket... )

Awesome day!! Never been before and will now go every year I reckon. Was great to meet & ride with some of you guys. Cajun, Madandy, Funkyfly. Was very impressed by MR (takes big cojones to do that stuff) Thanks for the use of your van for gear storage MR. Headed home for Napier on my own, met GRMPE and his sister at TeAroha BP so teamed up for the rest of the trip. Great ride apart from the bugstorm (a good case for peeloffs!!) Also saw the cop with alzheimers....duh!
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah - what was up with that?!?
My visor was covered in bug guts when we arrived (also had a wasp sitting on my handlebar for about 15 minutes - had to keep a careful eye on it in case it flew in a vent or summat...). SO, I cleaned the visor before we left, with leftover water and a hanky, and by the time we got to Ngatea, it was splattered agin! Friggin suicidal cabbage white butterflies! I was watching them as I was riding along, fluttering along then, "OOOhhh - shiny clean visor!" and SPLATT!! straight into it.
Funniest one was on the way to Paeroa, one went splat right in the middle at about 120km/h, and I said, "Great!", and vifferbabe said, "What?" and so I told her. She laughed and said, "I heard the "Tink!" as it hit, and wondered what it was!"
    ... and that's what I think.
