Im going to do the endurance race, should be fun. Not going to worry about pit stops and the likes, just fill the tank to the top and hope the bikes economical enuff to go the whole hour.

Anyone going out to Ruapuna on this monday? Hampton Honda got a ride/ training/ fun day out there, they going to have Aaron Slight and Rob Phillis out there getting our autographs
Man thats a heck of a good result!!

Yep, Count me in. Not sure where I fit though... slow as on the road, certainly not the quickest on the track, and have raced buckets before as well as doing a couple of ride days in AU on the 600's. I'm hoping to be doing track & testing days this year, and then racing clubmans in '10 with VMCC.

No better testing than getting out there amongst it is there - why wait for 2010.

I agree ! I wish i'd got into it in 08 now, if you can afford to do it this year Mark, go for it ! Don't take much to get the bike ready and with qualifiying putting ya on the grid where ya times allow yr not gonna hold anyone up !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I have an 'agreement' with the neuro-surgeon that operated on my melon... and 'She who must be obeyed'. If I thought I could get away with a couple of quiet entries in to this years VMCC Clubmans events, believe me, I would.

Actually... now you've got me thinking....

Where is the VMCC calender again?

Riding on the road i find is like smoking aof cabbage, whereas
    racing's like smoking sticky buds....

Leading up to the big day is similar I find to "hangin' out"...i.e agitated behaviour, thinking of little else.....
Race start is like the 'hit' as the adrenalin kicks in.
Post race is the warm contented afterglow ( abit like sex)
Then your happy for a few days & then it starts all over again

I went for a loooong time without a road bike or even a race bike but now im going back out there it is sooooo much fun.
Its like an adrenalin rush once youre out there, did the Hamptons Honda ride day with Aaron Slight and Rob Phillis last monday and there was even a guy out there on a bucket and even though he was the most passed person out there he was havin a ball of a time, probably more fun than the people sitn watchin from the side of the track
1 wheels enuf, any less is showing off
