    KTM to cut 300 jobs

KTM has announced 300 job cuts. 150 worked in the leasing division and a further ‘core employees’ will be laid off in April. KTM boss Stefan Pierer warned that some employees may have to be moved to part-time work thereafter.

KTM is planning to decrease production by 25 per cent, but expects business to get “slightly better” in 2010, adding that the motorcycle industry was in better shape to survive the recession than the car industry since more people would opt for motorcycles during a recession.

Fixed. I hardly think KTM's are aimed at people wanting to sell a car for cheaper travel.

Anyway weren't KTM looking to try and out do BMW in sales in the not to distant future.

From my own experience of fuel usage... you do not get their 990cc vtwin for fuel economy... it abuses fuel!

However, the 690cc single is amazing on gas... rather jealous actually.
