And given the predicted US price of $60 k is aimed to scare a few, 2011 is long enough away to put a savings plan in place is it not? Mmmmmm v4 Tuono Factory . . . .

i think that price is a little over the top.

the pricing is meant to come in simlar pricing as the current rsvr. so expect somethign 30-35k(with exchange rate in the crapper) not 1 single rsvr has gone out the door to a customer as of yet, they have until end of year to have made 1000 bikes for wsbk rules.

    ........... like this...?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I want to ride it first! It will all depend on just how much it turns me on or whether it makes more sense to keep the RSVR and get a second bike that's a completely different style.

The garish light blue ohlins labels always look crap and they need blacking over. Ohlins are too big for their boots and need to pull their heads in. The calf-scours coloured brembo calipers with their clashing cheesy red lettering need the same treatment too. The punk-rock modern Z1000 orange is vile, a disgrace, and needs scrapping in favour of a deeper red to match the front. Better still, the red bits should be replaced with a deep blue very similar in shade to the jacket in the background whilst retaining all the present black parts. The frame needs blacking out. As do the horrible muddy wanganui river look on the crankcases. Other than that not a bad looker. Hell, you could even live with the stupid muffler.
