    Worked their heineys off.

My oldest lad is right now setting out for his first ride at Desert storm.
The "lucky" little bugger is only there because he worked every day this holidays of all things shovelling stinky dogfood and sweeping floors in a factory.
He saved the money to pay for the trip and for food n spending money.
He wanted it He friggin worked for it and he's got what he wanted.
    I'm bloody proud of him.

    Yep. Yer gettin old mate!

And well done that boy, he's gonna have a great time D.S is a great ride (except when it's been raining for a week...)

Got a 16 year old son trying to be a rock star and I have to say for a bunch of 15 and 16 year olds I am muchly impressed with him and the boys. All of them have expensive gear and while the parents have all chipped in from time to time, all of the boys have after school jobs and all have worked right through the holidays to save for more gear. They practice frequently and never for less than 4 hours. Our basement flat can now no longer house guests as it has been turned into a makeshift recording studio and these sessions will commonly last 8 to 9 hours. Whether they get somewhere or not has yet to be seen but it certainly won't be for lack of trying! (or trips into my wallet!). I suspect there are far more kids like that than we probably realise it's just that it's the little brats getting all the press.

People get what they deserve - he'll go far. Take his for a walk through the Lambo car yard on Great North... or start setting a few really lofty goals mate. The best friend of working to get what you want... is aiming high.

In this case um theres a double meaning to that one.
I told him that case for every dollar he works for I would match it dollar for dollar.
