    CBR600F2 street fighter

    Hi everyone,

I will be selling my bike because i'm only really using it as a toy these days and can't afford to keep it unfortunately.

I brought this bike off a guy in Tauranga about 18 months ago and have been using it mainly for commuting to work which it is quite suited for. The bike is in a street fighter style, with minimal fairings and motorcross handle bars which give quite an upright riding position.

I crashed it at city speeds a few months after I got it which left a few scratches on the right hand side as shown in the photos. Items replaced were the handle bars, bar end mirror, radiator, footpeg and brake lever as well as the right rear fairing was sanded and re-painted.

The bike runs nicely (typical honda) and the engine pulls very strongly right to red line. These are no slugs, were up there with the fast bikes in their day, quoted as having 100hp at the crank. Doesn't burn oil.

Since i've had it I have replaced the rear tyre (Pirelli dragon supercorsa) which has heaps of meat on it (front Pirelli diablo is getting near to the end of its life however) and the clutch cable. The bike has braided front brake lines and the disks were replaced by the previous owner apparently. The arrow exhaust gives it a nice note without being excessively loud. I have also put on it a new Vapor digital speedo which also measures water temp and revs (K's done are approximate but I saw the old speedo before I brought it and it had done about 64000 K's).

Bike is cheap to reflect the age and higher K's, but goes like stink and is great for commuting. I was planning on getting some brackets to attach the headlights to the forks and to fit a buell fairing to tidy the front end up but haven't got around to it. Only thing which may be needing replacing soon apart from the front tyre is mabye the battery but it still ok at the moment. If I get time I will replace the oil and filter before its sold.

New WOF and rego will be valid until April (on hold at the moment). Contact Stefan on 0273360070 if you want any more details.

    Cheers.

    Okay.....
Nice enough bike. You are right, they do go like stink.
However you could take the rust off the frame and give it a bit of a paint...
Also take the wreckers twink off the rad.

I appreciate you are trying to be honest, and showing the damage that was done in your bin.
However doing a bit of a tidy will mean one less job for the potential buyer, so in theory they would be keener.

I mean, the last thing I want to do to my new bike is to do up bits on it.
I would rather just ride it.

    Just some points.
I'll let potential 600 customers know of this one... I get to talk to a few

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
