TCL were in bed with Vodafone for mobile but had a falling out. Telecom's CDMA network does have a slight advantage in coverage in NZ but obviously the small population and the length of the country means it is very expensive to gain full coverage. That's why Tesltra Australia hasn't come in and set up its own network here.
What phones do you have? The Samsung 8800 has the best reception of any cellphone and is a popular flip phone.
TelstraClear has only recently entered the Mobile market and of course we are a bit limited with choice due to the CDMA system being on the way out, hence we don't want to invest too much in cellphones that are soon going to be out of date. We do have some good one's though.
I've got the new Nokia 6275i which is a good phone. We have both the Blackberry 8830 and the latest Samsung i325 world phone. THe HTC Titan and the Okta Touch are very good with the Okta Touch particularly finding favour with my customers.
I've dropped my Vodafone pre-pay as I'm on the residential TCL Nokia account which gives 500 free texts and PXT's to any network and only 29c/min calling to any NZ landline or mobile for $20pm. Vodafone's Text2000 is only to Vodafone.
Although Telecom are not going to allow us access to the new WCDMA, (GSM), network until 2011, there are other options we are exploring and as soon as we gain access to this type of network we will be able to bring in stock direct from Telstra Australia which, in one move will give us the best technology at the best rates available in NZ!
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
