Motorcycle Club hands out NZD 18K cash boost to charities

Just thought I'd pass on a positive image of motorcycling.

UK: Ledbury motorcycle club dug deep into their pockets, handing out in excess of £7,000 (NZD 18,000) at their Christmas dinner.

The largest donation was £5,000 to Herefordshire Air Ambulance, with a further £1,000 funding for nurses at St Michael’s Hospice.

Well done to all concerned for their fund raising attempts and for putting forward a positive image of motorcyclists and motorcycling.

What do you bet the same club is referred to as a gang in some other distant news report in the past or in the future.

Does it say what the clubs name was?

Good on them, I'm hoping my own club can do something for the community. I was hoping to do our Santa Run in 2008 and raise money for Child Cancer but we just don't have the numbers or notoriety to pull it off yet.

I admire Plains MC for being able to raise as much money as they do for a children's home in CHCH.
