If I'm correct, the current record is something like 150mph or so isn't it?

I was watching tv on the sidcar thing. Personally I think it should be a requirement to use a passanger as well, otherwise its just a modified trike or bike really. I mean, isnt the purpose of the sidecar to carry a passenger ?

The option is there to use a passenger if you want, but I don't think anyone does as 60kg ballast is proberly lighter than most passengers and it's safer to risk only one life at a time, modified trike? I don't think so,not even close in fact.

Set by Bob Burns at 162mph down Tram road in 1955

the criteria for record attempts changed after that record was set so that particular record can not be broken, the current record under the new rules is about 227km so the reality is it will be a peice of cake to beat,Phil has set his sights somewhat higher at 320kmh

Any way, today they did the first dyno session on the motor they will be using for the record attempt, 2003 GSXR1000 150hp at the rear wheel, now they'll start on the mods and see what they can come up with

Sounds Kool . Same Dyno Fig's as my bike Bone stock standard with the run in oil just dropped out of it . 180 shouldn't be to hard Cam's / Porting / Full exhaust / Power comander

You mean he will have to make up a trophy shelf, not as though he has needed one after racing suzuki's and ducati's all these years.

Well the only brand I haven't won a trophy with is Honda, have won the odd race on them though, although if you turn up at the track often enough I think they just end up giving you one anyway

Saw some footage of the plug for the bodywork today, they've finished the wind tunnel testing and will have the body constructed in the next 2-3 weeks

Construction of the chassis has also started and Phil has gone on unpaid leave as they're starting to lag behind and they need to pull the finger out as they're meant to be doing it in 4 months
