    Umm...
That is the order. It's a cycle so the bikes would still be after the drifters. A better order would be Race Cars, Bikes, Drifters and Asians, Enthusiasts.

    Track day eh........

MR and TS, you still planning on welly sometime march??? Anyhow you can pretty much count me in for puke, my new race modified TL1000S needs some aerodynamic testing to determine the correct gearing to run, as it's unsafe on the road to do so, an i dont speed on the road (honest)

And Taupo, DM pretty much said it, f%^&*n aye, mid week is the best time for me, consider me in for sure.

    Track time

Well if somebody wants to organise something at Taupo mid-week, and given enough notice,I'm hell keen!
We can possibly sort sometihng out with carpooling etc...
    Hey, I've got a bbq!

The other option is... what about we get a group of people to volunteer to put the bailes out for the bikes, then bring them in again for the cars?
A lot of work, but with 10-20 people, it wouldnt take long at all.
If we all too two bas each, we could do it in the warmdown lap....
    Just an idea

Sessions are about 20 minutes long (plenty of time to get you sweating etc) and if you do 4+ sessions you will be fucked as will your tyres (depending on how you ride)...

Parking: There is the pits, the area around the pits or the car park on the opposite side of the pits....

Session order is usually: Race Cars, enthusists, Drifters and Asians (im not being racist thats honestly the order) then bikes

    Sessions finish up at 1600hrs

Ofcourse if its raining im not going.... although this time i might (even though i crashed last time) as i need some practice in the wet...
Thanks TS for the info.... much appreciated.

Not to sound negative but that's a big job. I've been involved with putting out the bales/bringing them in before and it takes a good 30 mins + flat bed truck. All the bales have to be tied together too so people can't slip between them.

Firstly you'd need AMCC permission to use their bales and then you'd need Pukekohe people to agree to let you hold up the track while everyone else waits which I honestly can't see happening on a track day.

You'd be better off doing this on a bike only day.

Bails sound too hard - but for what we get charged for test days there should be at least a couple of marshalls supplied to wave a yellow flag and get more prompt, safe, recovery of people in trouble. After my last nightmare at a Pukekohe test day (trying to help stricken rider where bails go while having spinning CBR1000s rear wheels only 2 metres away) I'm not inclined to stop for anyone in trouble........which is not a good thing. If we don't stop for our fallen riders at those test days it'll be 20 minutes before they get any help from Gary, or St John. Could be dead by then.

Yea maytee I agree --I can't justify that amount of money for maybee 3 track sessions.
and that after the drifters have covered parts of the track in mud and debris.
Shit do we need a bike only track day soon.
