    Jay Lawrence update

    Hi all

Thought I'd better update you all on Jay's condition after his 'wee' crash yesterday. After waiting 10 hours in the Emergency Department we know that Jay's left collarbone is broken, as is his right shoulder. The shoulder is causing him the most discomfort at the moment.

He had surgery this morning to clean and sew up a gaping hole under his left arm where the footpeg stabbed him (we know it was the footpeg because of the lovely pattern it left on entry).

Give Jay or I a text to check how he is feeling if you want to come visit... as you can imagine he's pretty tired and uncomfortable and isn't always up to having visitors. We'll be in Christchurch for most of this week it seems.

Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes.

    Rachelle

PS - Does anyone have a link to news footage of the crash (we hear it was on TV One news) because Jay is keen to see it after hearing people's descriptions.

So sorry to hear the news of your crash Jay but so relived that you are still with us. Sounds like it was fairly nasty crash. I wish you all the very best for a speedy recovery and hope the Drs and nurses are taking good care of you after spending 10hrs in the emergency department. Takecare.

Great to hear that it's all healable. Have been waiting to see some news from an informed source. If the bike isn't too damaged can I borrow it for the CliffHanger? I like the sound of " King Clivoris ". Just until he's back on his wheels you understand.
