    Ouch.

Bloody lucky you're so young mate. Four to six weeks you'll be champing at the bit.

Have a couple of lazy weeks and enjoy the break.

Then go hard again. Plenty of time to tear up the race track again.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Have just checked myself out of Chch hospital. Am pretty sore but have some good friends to look after me for the night and a plane to welly booked for tomorrow morning.

Will get home in my own bed and try and regain use of at least one of my arms. Rachelle is typing this for me.

Quick update is... both arms are wankered through smashed bones in bad places and one leg is almost no good at all through bruising and soreness at this point. Also have a ruddy great hole in my armpit... deodourant stings a bit! Will talk to you all in Wellington when I learn how to type again.

    Enforced holiday... yay...

    Cheers

Seriously now though, an enforced holiday sounds like just the thing for you right now, and glad to hear that you have been discharged and soon home.

Here is wishing you a speedy recovery

Glad to hear that you are heading for home where you will be much better being in your own surroundings. I hope the flight home is a comfortable 1 and that you dont hit too many air pockets as that will be something you wont need in your condition. Heel up fast and takecare.

All the best for a fast and complete recovery Jay.

    Hi everyone,

Day two at home is going a lot better than day one. We've finally gotten Jay somewhat comfortable (considering) and have help from his brother Sven. The bruising is really starting to come out so he's looking worse but feeling better.

He says when he finally gets to meet you properly he would love to sign a poster, although he may only be able to scratch out a rough looking X at the moment.

Poster is awesome by the way. He'll even be able to give them out himself during the 600s race next round.
