Oh and yeah i know, too many of me but what can i say, she loves me !!!! And feel free but I've already torn into myself on the sad body position in the pics, But imagine what the whitetail will do when i learn how to ride !

Congratulations Sinfull on completing your 1st race meet. You did so well out there yesterday and it just goes to show, that all those track days you have been attending have truely paid off for you. But a mate (who was there for race 2) said afterwards, or queried more like, that i changed my riding style !
I thought at the time, he meant from road riding to track, but realised later that i aint ridden with him for 10 years or more ! Wasn't till i scrolled through the pics Hiedi took, that i twigged to what he was talking about, i reverted back to road DURING the race, at about lap 3 or 4 lol
Long way to go yet and a lot more fitness needed before it comes natural !
Think it was when Darrin reeled me in and then got away on me, sorta knew there were no others gonna do those times and being the tired fat bastard i am (hey it was a long weekend lol) i musta just relaxed or is that just gave up lol
But hey i'm as happy as a pig in shit !
Had a couple of goals for the weekend and nailed em !
Realistic in that The bike is performing as well as a stock 955 could, any gains in time now is up to me (without spending a absolute fortune on tricking it up)
The temptation was there to sell one of the trumpies and jump onto a litre bike, Heidi even sugested she'd like to see me on one, but i don't know if age has brought wisdom or the dutch in me is holding me from splashing out on one, but a litre bike aint gonna make me any better, just faster ! (term knob jocky springs to mind)
I went and had a bit of a korero with Scratcha in his pit camp (before it blew away) looking at his new bike ! Yeah it's old, but it's new and He absolutely loves it ! Was real pleased i went and had that chat, cause it gave me a bit of a grounding again !
I went to the track for a couple of reasons
a/ need for speed (of course) and it was getting ridiculous what i was doing on the roads !
b/ coming from a cruiser background, i wanted to learn to ride, i mean really ride, to mine and the bikes full potential !
Well now i'm fuckin hooked lol So yep i might just get me another bike to do some cross over ! Though i'd love to have me a litre bike i don't think i'm a capable enough rider and it'd throw me !
With the trumpy being classed as F1 (as outclassed as it is) i might keep it for huntin bear !
But the question now is what to get myself ? Opinions of any exprienced guys would be appriciated but Think F3 is for me !!!

Dont expect too bigger things to quickly in this road racing game as you will get better in yourself every time you go out there and within time you will look back at the difference you have made from your 1st race meet. The main thing is to ride your own race and a race that feels comfortable to you and no-one else. Getting bike fit is important in your performance and helps when racing in hot conditions like you did yesterday. Like i said it was good seeing you out there and the look on your face of sheer enjoyment said it all to me. Goodluck.

Why not clubmans in the winter series now that you have the bike set-up? A race bike with wets would make life easier though, and the triumph will have more residual value if you sell it now, rather than after 10 more race meetings. Probably not much more, but enough to make a difference.

So with an SV, could ya cross over from F3 to pro twins or is it likely they might run together on the track ? Know F3 is always in good numbers but how is pro twin looking for the Actrix ? Good numbers ? Or will they be running with another class and what's the most likely class if they are mixed ?

Main reason for thinking of moving early is time on the track at meets, i mean it makes financial sense to run in two classes for a track whore lol !
Could some one ride in both clubmans and say post classics ? Or would it be frowned apon ?

If anything were to go it would prolly be the road bike now, sorta lost the urge a little lol (bores me to tears) Plus it's worth a good 5k more than the track trumpy, So could near set up a second track bike AND a cheap bike for Heidi (she has been left a little in the woods of late, gulp)

Know there aint that much bears racing going on now, but it would be nice to have one to take to such events ! Hell ya never know, a few more months i could even become competitive on it ! Near took the head off 1.19 on sunday so knocked 3 seconds off from saturdays times ! Know that i'll be talking tenths from now on, but hey i'm an optimist and i was still hesitant on most corners !

Thought i had turn one sussed on saturday, but then dug in with the footpeg in quallifying and tossed the back over what felt like a metre which had me back off lol so going to 190's (think most would have ditched the rubber i was using too, sure as hell screwed now i recon) and raising the rearsets might gain me one or two of them tenths, a new can and a dyno might get me a couple more (lol sorry Heidi you do really like ya scorpio aye) If anything i might get us a couple of old trail bikes to work out on hehe !
Dunlop ? Well I wish i had taken Scratcha up on his offer to show me how to own that corner, think with a little more speed into dunlop, that door wouldnt have been closed till after i was well through ! Little bit of mongrel instead of track day curtousy might have helped too lol, 2nd place for however many seconds it would have lasted, would have been a great feeling for an old cherry popper like meeeee lol

Guys half my age (or size bwahaha) would be hanging bricks of their boners to lengthen them, all i need is another two inches on my thigh bone so i can grab the tank a bit ! I know i know i should have a big head like mine near resting on my elbow lol, but i have enough trouble remembering to breath, let alone all the other technical stuff like shiftin weight !
It'll be second nature by the third round mate don't you worry, or is that you should be ? Taupo is as near as a home track for me as it is for you now ! Bloody great that there are more manfield trackdays coming now Think the Actrix must surely be predom. manfield, so thats where i need some practise !

Oh and there is alcohol on offer for any inside info, as to what the competition might be up to in preparation for the next round !! Cant have any random guys getting the jump on me !
