    Paeroa questions

Trying to find out some details on this event as I'm considering entering if its possible.

Who organises it and what are the best contact details.
Is the event just the race day or do you get any practice the day before.

    Cheers for that.

As it says everywhere on the site "no late entries will be accepted" i guess it will have to wait until next season.

    Brian,
Send in your entry for Manfeild NZSBK instead.

Get on the blower anyway Brian and just try your luck. I did exactly that for Wanga's and was pleasantly suprised, so you never know.

Would they waive the late entry fee for racers who have had bad injuries and won't know if they are able to race about a week before the event?

I think they are quite stringent on the late entry rule, also alot of people dont realise grid positions are taken from Wanganui so if ya didnt race there youll be at the back and even though they modify the grid thru the day on finishing results it is quite difficult to make up ground, there is some sighting laps for newcomers at the start of the day, the only way to get another look at the track is drive around the street track in a car so see where the bumps and manhole covers etc are, have a look on youtube there a bound to be some onboard footage there

Well i've made some enquiries and most people have said forget it mate.

As the meeting is still 4 weeks away it seems strange not to even consider a 'late entry' but if thats how it is i guess i miss out, which will be a shame.

I wouldn't be bothered about grid position as it'll be my first time there and I'm sure the run to the first right hander will sort out the grid.

Have the distinct feeling that I won't be there so all this talk will be in vain anyway.

Hmmmm, looks this event has been taken over by beauracrats as opposed to the enthusiasts who ran Wanganui. To qualify that statement: if the grid's full then fair enough but if there's room and they are turning people away it's pretty short sighted.....
