    Nasty bits in Auckland (PeteJW)

I have, after 20 odd years, decided to ride again.
After hunting through records, they could not find history of my previous motorcycle licence details
So it is on the sub 250cc size
Just as well really. I've now had two offs...

One of them was at the roundabout in Albany, intersection of Rosedale and Old Albany Rd..Coming from the north, heading south, bus pulled out, but damn, that roundabout is tight and they put 4 nasty manholes right on the exit line!
Not the best place to have to apply your brakes...needless to say I have managed to add a few scratches to the bike...

But luckily I was wearing leather jacket with armour (thanks Rev'It) and Draggin jeans (with armour).
No idea how we used to ride around in denim jeans and nylon jackets when we were younger.

If ya getting into biking...spend lots on armour

Agreed! I'm also a new biker and my esperianced biker friend gave me a 20 min spiel on why I need really good armour. Coupled with pieces of his shredded gear the point got accross! I'm trying to avoid motorway riding until I can get Riding pants as well..

One thing my armour didn't do...stop my knee getting a bruise either side from when the tank squashed it, between it and the ground.

But on the bright side, no ding in the tank.

At least now I don't worry about falling off so much..over confident? never.
