Got this via email, when I asked a question about pre booking my ticket. good information.
"If you have cash, no problem to pay at the gate, there may not be eftpos available. Prepaying, see paragraph below.
The format for the weekend:
- Friday is a practice day (although hard to distinguish this from actual racing at times!). Saturday and Sunday is full on racing. All three days are open to the public.
- A weekend pass is $25.00 per person and can be purchased at the gate, this allows you in/out for the three days. (Other than a family pass of 2 adults, 2 children $50.00, this is the only ticket we have). Children under 12 years free. This year we also have pre-sale tickets available - see below.
Pre paying tickets: Direct Deposit into the Register's bank account. Postage will be an additional $1.00 in total. Bank Account details: Bank: Westpac Account Name: NZ Classic Motorcycle Racing Register (or NZCMRR) Account Number: 03-0149-0113417-000.
Please put your name in the particulars and "Festival ticket" or "Fest. ticket" in the reference. Please email me back when you have done this with the number of tickets purchased and your postal address and I will forward the tickets to you.
- Camping by the public is allowed at the track on the top of the hill - your weekend pass gets you in/out of the gate. There is no power supply. To secure a spot, you may need to get there on Friday morning. First come, first served/best position.
- Gates open on each morning at approx 8:00 am. Gates close each day approx 8:00 pm, but it would pay to check with the gate personnel when coming through.
- Saturday and Sunday night there are meals available for $32.00 per person (approx 6:30 pm). Tickets can be purchased on the day at race control in Jennian Homes (the white building in the pit area opposite the start/finish line).
- Saturday and Sunday night we have our overseas guests speaking after the dinner/prize giving and people gather and listen to them.
- A club shop (caravan and awning) is set up by the pedestrian over-bridge. Selling various items like t-shirts, caps, posters, megaphone magazine (the Register's magazine), sun tan lotion, ear plugs, badges, etc etc.
- Various other trade stalls are also in operation selling/promoting various items by the track over-bridge area.
- Public are welcome and encouraged to wander through the pits and chat to our racers and guests throughout the weekend.
Hope I've remembered everything! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to email us back.
Thanks and kindest regards
