I feel for you man, BOTH arms! sheesh! Don't rush back to the bike, aching joints for the next 40 years may not be worth it. Hope your recovery goes well.

man that's a bugger. I found it hard enough with one broken collar bone and shoulder. take time to heal and see you out there later bro
It is you! I can't believe it.
Jay I watched in awe for three days, each time you came into turn 1 at the end of the main straight sideways, I ain't seen that before!
By day two I made sure I had my video camera. I've never seen a bike drift into a corner like that consistently over any meet with my own eyes, apart from them motards boys.
It bit you once, I saw that, but by the next lap you fought back and hammered it even harder, that's skill right their!
You started off the meet just drifting the rear, the other bloke I was with on flag with was impressed as well, hey it's not everyday you get to see stuff like that, it impressed the hell out of me.
What we did notice was your exit speed though, man you were on the gas and away from there like a bat out of hell heading for castrol, watching others follow you through that corner was interesting, seeing you get the jump on them most of the time too and ever so slightly the distance got greater. Hats off to you dude, that's some impressive stuff!
But wait there's more....
By the end of day 2 you had the whole god dam bike drifting into turn 1 on some laps (no shit folks), fark me I couldn't believe it!
You were going that god dam fast the vid footage I got is crap, I just couldn't keep up!
We gave the TV crew by us the heads up, hell I hope he managed to get a good shot.
Big ups to you Jay, u rock dude! I hope like hell you get back on the track soon.

Sorry to hear that Jay !! Look forward to seeing ya fit an well again man !!!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
At least that was considerate of you to make sure the bike was ok![]()
Am gutted for ya mate..........I hope you heal fast and take care during recovery. Not the ending you wanted I'm sure.
Don't forget to thank ya lady plenty or ya might end up doin ya bed baths on your own
Take care dude...................see ya out there soon![]()
Hey jay, all the best for your recovery mate. And hey - not to worry, 'mushed' and 'shattered'... just loose terms! (Mind you I was a bit worried too when the specialist cranked his head to the side and said 'oh f**k' when first examining Jases x-rays... I was hoping more for a 'well thats an easy fix...') Two broken legs was bad enough, but I think both arms outa action is definately worse! Hang in there Rachelle I feel for ya!
Great news to her that Jay wont be having his arm amputated as that would have been devastating for him to accept. I was hoping to catch up with you Jay at the Nationals as I got told you were there but never set eyes on you so wasn't too sure where abouts you were. I hope you enjoyed the racing even thou we all know you would have loved to have been out there more than spectating. Hope all is going well with you and your recovery and I hope to catch up with you soon for a chat. Takecare and cheers for now. Skip.
Just to clarify... there was never any danger of Jay losing his arm. We were approached by a couple of people at Manfeild who were surprised to see us there given that Jay (apparently) had his arm amputated. We're not sure where that story started but it seems to have been plucked from thin air.
Jay has a couple of broken bones, but all limbs are still attached. The only danger he's facing is that a shoulder joint may have to be replaced.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and well wishes.
All the best Jay, as you mentioned get properly healed first the go so that bike who the boss is.... Speedy recovery dude.
Amazing how stupid rumours like that start up especially when they aren't even close to being true. I guess if you believe everything you hear then some people would believe anything that was said to them.
I hope Jay enjoyed his day at Manfeild even thou we all know where he would have preferred to have been whilst there, and I hope his healing process is going well.
