I searched this forum but came up short. The oxford heated grip on my throttle has come unstuck in the recent heat. The throttle gradually winds off under spring tension. Eventually I have to throttle off to idle and wind it back the other way. I removed the counter weight and the grip comes off easily. Trouble is I'm not sure how to repair it without making a mess.
It's a reasonably snug fit and appears to be plastic over plastic. I'm worried that plastic glue might bind early before the grip is fully on. Contact glue would get wiped to the inside due to the snug fit and potentially bind the throttle. Double sided tape and petrol works for golf clubs but I'm not sure if it's appropriate here.
Question: What's the best/recommended method for attaching heated grips?
