An outline of how to go Streetstock racing

Want to get started in racing? How about 250cc superstock.

Steve Bagshaw has written a good article on everything you should need to know to start out.

    argh

Im going to have to move out of nelson.

The closest thing to a racing track that I am aware of is the go-kart track :disapint:

Sounds like my kind of thing

Yeh, but you've got brilliant roads in every direction, a stunning climate, and being in Mapua, a nudist camp. What more could a man want?
Try living in Chch- we have a very limited selection of twisty roads :disapint:

Well, you could live within cooee of Coromandel: Lots of fairly deserted straights on the plains, lots of corners and 2 great loop roads around the peninsula, good quality surfaces, not too many HP or general traffic (once you leave waikato)... and some pretty fine weather to boot.

but on the original idea, thats cool! a really economical class for people to start racing in. My wife might even let me buy a 250 for racing purposes.. if only they start something like that with AMCC cause I don't fancy a trip down to welly each time.

Not so keen on the idea of 'no f/g fairings' given the cost of rooting up plastic ones. It'd be a good wreckers yard for all those low speed dropped 250's

The "nudist camp" is becoming a "camp".
