    Exup and hi temp lube?

ok.. small issue with my Thunderace.. seems the Exup runs at just sub nuclear temps and tends to cook the lubrication out of it and freeze it in place.. i gave it death with WD40 a few days ago when i got the trouble code on the tacho and it freed it up, but after a few hundy km's .. seems to have dried out again..

any other member of the Exup Brotherhood have this problem and how did you solve it? ( short of removal of the valve..i have a bad case of mod-itus and once the fairings are off.. so are all bets..)

Hey Sarge, if you're anywhere near an aircraft maintenace outfit, go see them and ask if they have any "Mouse Milk".
It's great stuff, it's used to keep turbo-charger wastegates free etc.
I reckon it would do the trick.

Perhaps try your local diesel & turbo type guy for a similar product.

That almost sounds like the story of sending an apprentice for a bottle of K9P.

dosnt the exup valve use ceramic bushes that dont need any lube? sounds like it needs to be taken apart and cleaned.

I'm reasonable sure that with my old FZR1000 you weren't supposed to lube them at all. They had special bushes- lubing them just caused them to gunge up and seize the valve.
