Well done on the second one. Having owned an old villa I recognised the doors. I am not keen on the architraveless walls they are doing at the moment, when we bought our current house I stuck up no. 13 fibrous plaster (125 x 130). The modern homes might look good on final inspection, but I doubt they keep their looks as long. Your work will stand the test of time by the look of it.

Ahhh...... na mate nothing like that, what I meant was there is a steel as in a forking great 'I' beam that runs around behind the facia all the way around both roofs and a huge steel ridge beam through the centers with steel rafters over each wall joining it all up........ they in turn are siting on steel posts through the center of both buildings (joined by internal bridge over pool) trans fering the load down.... the rest of the building hangs of the steel.
You can see the end posts in the center of the 'A' shaped windows at each end of both buildings...... the remaining posts are hidden in the walls.

Better late than never - good work D. I think I like the 2nd house better too. That 1st one seems to have no land with it! Well done you!

Just completed this house, not my most fav but as usual a bit of a mission to do. some features are polished concrete floors/timber/carpet, negitave detail skirting, floor to ceiling windows and the usual crap.

    boy, somebody really hates angles

what about the flat roof?? is it going to be alright? they have been known to leak...

Who wants these individualistic homes when you can have a bootiful copy of the house next door, and still for the bargain of $650,000 and you don't have buy some expensive pool cover and neither do you have to look after a pool coz there isn't one

ah, the glorious massive development going on out east auck.

Nice houses , not really my cup of tea, but the square stopping looks like it may become a new trend. Dad says it will still cost about the same as cove etc. though.
