    Gone!

Yahoo - seven days on the road - I'm leaving tomorrow to catch the 5pm ferry for a look around the South Island before the weather really craps out ...

I might have a look at the Lewis pass, which I haven't ridden since I left Chch in the late 1970s ... Might do the Buller Gorge for a smoke in Murchison ... coffee in Westport ... I'll see where the front wheel takes me.

    Home again next Tuesday ...

Have fun out there people - come back alive ..

Have an awesome time down there (as if that couldn't happen)!

Stay safe and away from the Rozzers and campervans.

Drove (yeah I know) through Lewis through Murchison last weekend. Great road!! You'll have heaps of fun.

    Enjoy

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

    Got back alive.

Awesome trip ... brilliant roads in the other island ...

One speeding ticket - 114 klicks and $80 on the Foxton Straights on the way home .. I'll take that .. they didn't catch me at 200 on the Karamea Straights - nor at 180 -190 down the Lewis pass ... so $80 is a good let off ..

The weather was a bit iffy, it was cold Picton to Westport through St Arnauds ... but I only had a couple of showers here and there ...

Heaps of bikes on the road - with those roads I'm not surprised.

I like riding through Lewis and down to Greymouth, across to Arthurs and pack to CHCH is a an awesome day trip. Lewis is great for high speed corners as opposed to Arthurs. A run to Lake Tekapo is also a favourite of mine.

Amazing roads for sure down there. Good attitude to the ticket - like me, I'm just grateful for all the times I've not been ticketed. Foxton straights..so boring you just want to speed up to get to somewhere nice.

Of the Police?.. sad to think that after a week on a bike, all he has to report first up is how fast he was riding...

I don't use a camera - that's what I have a memory for ... I don't live for a camera or in front of a camera ... nor do I live on Facebook - I live with the world coming at me for real ..
