When I was either 6th or 7th form, which would've been close to 10 years ago now, we had a former KKK imperial wizard (forgot his name) come to a school assembly and give us a talk about how bad the klan is, and said they will be coming to NZ so told us all to watch out.

The klan got hurt pretty bad by the fbi and police infiltrating them and by victims family sueing the crap out of them, this mixed with there rather poor image hurt there recruitment in a big way. The Klan isnt one big group, its segmented now into different groups all over. To attract more members they have in some cases reached out to the various white supremisist groups (maybe the national front?) including neo nazi's to help boost there numbers and dropped the white sheets.

White supremisists love to get together, it makes them feel less paranoid when theres a whole mob of them blaming the jews and other races for making them all so unsuccessful and unhappy, while praising the arian nation, hitler and god for making them so great.

There have been various "Klan" groups active in new zealand for years, none of them have ever had more than a handful of members, and msotly peter out after a year or two, then someone else gets the cunning idea of starting up a new one.

Yep exactly...didn't we have a Unit 88 a few years ago? Obviously weren't staunch enough on their ideals to handle the jandel.

I loathe racism in any form however apparently it's "ok" to have a Black Power yet as soon as White Power is mentioned then they're they only racists around.

Unit 88 died out christ must be about 10 years ago now.. They got profiled on tv (60 minutes or something like that) and it showed the location of their pad, and all the real gangs popped over for a quiet word.
