Smile Hey all... - Riding LockedDown

Im about a month off from my restricted license. After gaining my learners, I purchased my first bike, a gold hyosung gt250R. But after a million headaches with the aftermarket exhaust system that was already installed on it, I cashed out and got me a black hyosung gt250R.

    Mods to my black bike:
    black godiva windshield
    Screaming Demon Muffler

and thats all... Standard, how it should be on a 250.

Well I was wondering if theres any good bikeclubs or anything to join? cause I like to cruise and I'm nearly at my restricted. I use my bike nearly everyday to get to University in downtown Auckland which is an hour and half away from where I live, haha so getting my experience up. Plus I live on all open roads.

And if there are any other good bike mods for my hyosung, let me know?

    Thanks all.

definately dude, look into social groups, the hyo group, you can see the mods I have done.

I really reccommend getting the tail tidy done- will cost you bugger all ($10 for the bolt light for a no. plate light) and i'd be happy to give you a hand.....

I literally used a pocket knife saw, builders fill (about a teaspoons worth) sandpaper, a bit of paint for the builders fill, and it took me about 1 hour, I also put in after market indicators at the same time (looks a lot better too.....)

Best of all it looks a billion times better and it only cost the price of a bolt light off trademe......surely you have some black spray paint and putty/builders fill/clay lying around....I literally just used what I found and i'm stoked with it....

have a look for yourself, also korider has some good pics of this being done.....

Another good thing if the popping on deceleration bugs you- you can plug up the A.I.S system (which just cleans your exhaust fumes you don't need it) and it stops.....apparently if improves the feel of the bike too but i'm yet to try this for myself....

Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

How do I find the hyo group??

definately want to get that tail tidy done. I've seen it on youtube, looks much nicer!!! as for the A.I.S system I will definately look into that. That popping does irritate me!..

but ohwell, so how I see a photo of your bike mate?

Check out the Auckland University SMC (Scooter and Motorcycle Club) forum... And make lotsa friends

Also, come on a little ride with some of us tomorrow maybe if you're confident with open road riding?

sorry for the late reply, forgot to check this thread. I live in a town (Helensville) outside of Auckland, completely surrounded by 100km/h open road, so definately used to it!

Would be awesome to come for a ride sometime! Send me a private mail if your ever keen to go for a ride.
