Brother on 1st 500 list in UK so invited to meet Troy somebody (I am a girl I know) at BMW in UK and then if he goes ahead with his order they fly him to launch in Italy :

How jealous am I, trying to convince him to register it as mine and bring it out to me in a year or so

It's the sexiest (apart from the Blue Beast of course) sports bike I have seen

Have you seen the headlights on that fuggin' thing? Once again BMW drop what should be a nice lookin' bike outta the ugly tree. They win the "Most frustrating manufacturer" award hands down.

If you take a look at my earlier post which included a photo of the designer, all will be revealed.....

Its interesting. I just watched that video and dont actually see it as so ugly as when I saw the first photos. They say that full wet weight is 450 punds - 204 kg. Seems a bit heavy in the current era of superbikes where the latest CBR1000 weights just over 170kg if i'm not mistaken, but it makes 192hp standard, so that cant be a bad thing eh

Undoubtedly the real beauty of the bike is not the class leading power, but the traction control and ABS.

Overseas markets are scheduled to purchase the bike for close to a jappa price; it looks like NZ is going to have to pay through the nose for the privilege

.....Upwards of 30K for bike with traction and ABS......Nice bike or not the average kwaka, honda, suki, yammie looks a hell of a lot more enticing.

Check out the price of an '09 CBR1000RR with ABS and close to $30k is not far from the mark, especially with the fruit on the Beemer........but that front end still infuriates me. How to take a perfectly good bike and make it un-buyable.....fools.

In 12 months ebay will be full of aftermarket fairing kits that include 'regular' headlights and sides.

Or someone with a bit of Fiberglass skills will make them in the garage.

    I'd own one.

Nah it's on the mark. That 170kg for the blade is a silly dry weight. The current lot of litre bikes are all hovering around 200kg to 205 wet.
