If they want me to buy the first model of something like that, at that price, and it'll need to be a better looking carrot being dangled. Having said that... other than the Repsol version, the current model blade colours were pretty darn uninspiring, and the American versions completely naff.
The blade: but will it be?

Well, I wouldn't think so, it's not very 'Honda' to chase arbitrary things like that, they'll just continue to evolve their bike as they've done since they invented the class. I however expect Suzuki to come back with something interesting though, they're a lot less up their own arse, and more likely to be open about their desire to build a world beater. It'll be interesting though, as the Euros have both played their hands now, roll on 2011.

Congrats. You mean there is a hard limiter so you can't rev it higher? An electronic cut out? During running in the only instruction with my Yamaha R6 was not to run it at above 9000 rpm or so for "extended periods of time".

I'm not a Suzuki fanboi but I'd have to agree with that statement. Shame Yamaha have never made an R8!!

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I went up and had a ride on the one at Experience. Never really had much joy dealing with Hamilton Motorcycles but the guy at Experience called Graham (i think) was really good. The bike felt good, the suspension felt pretty soft, the brakes were insane, the quick shifter was trick, the electrical limiters made the bike feel a little soft and the engine felt like a really fast 600. Found out once i got back that i could have turned the traction control etc off and also there is a race mode that has to be activated to make it real fast.

Problem is I cant buy one yet because MNZ havnt homologated it so the Traction control and ABS model may not even be able to be used which would be a shame

Suprised to hear that Chops (re Hamilton Motorcycle Center), Heath the owner is a very straight-up operator in my experience . They have also been in the game a long long time , meaning their managment and customer skills cant be all that bad.

I tried to get them to contact my dad re a certain sale on a zx14 he also called them but couldnt give him a price so he got one from bay city. I dropped a bike in for them to get the valves checked and valves checked only came back with a horrendous bill, having had a new oil filter and chucked away my steel washable, new oil, cleaned my filter changed the spark plug. I guess im lucky they didnt give it a rebuild 'while they were at it' the parts guy steve is always helpfull.

Mind you after having the service manager at boyds abuse me on the phone last week i might have to start using Hamilton Honda they have been great so far haha
