who do you think are the greatest rock bands in history ?..forget the radio station lists and the corporate bullshit.. who do YOU rate?

my top band is a Canadian unit named RUSH (Neil Peart on drums and songwriting.. Geddy Lee on bass and anything that aint nailed down and Alex Lifeson on Guitar

Van Halen would be a close second. the might of Eddie and the crazed energy of Diamond Dave

3rd would have to be Maiden.. just cuz

Pink Floyd for the more mellow times..

and some of The Who

Zepplin of course...

i'd post vids if i knew how. have tried before.... and failed. But there are only 2 bands in existance at the moment as far as i'm concerned. Nine inch Nails and Queens of the stone age although i like goblins picks too

I've got no idea what a rock band is to you guys, I just know what I like and in recent times this little ditty has stood out for me. Sorry if it don't fit your criteria for a rock band but it's good anyway.

Blasted some old tunes last night for a reminisc sess. Both a bit "soft rock" but Dire Straits and The Doors, aswell as some zep filled the room nicely.....
