I tell you what, Slofox: I bet that if you go and get the new tyres fitted (that's an extremely good price, BTW!) you'll be saying, "Huh... these tyres are SO much better than the old ones. Didn't realise my handling had deteriorated that much. Can't believe I debated buying them..."

Seriously - it was like riding on slippers after bare feet....no comparison with the old Dunlops. Even just riding out of the shop, straight along the smooth road you could feel it but most especially noticeable on the transition from one side to the other - just a smoooooth roll over. And despite being new they feel pretty safe already (in the I did not fall off at the first roundabout....).

Can anyone recommend a good set of tyres for the Hyosung GT250R....my Battlaxes have done at least 12,000 k's and counting, tyre pressures were very low this morning so I'm thinking it's a good time to change them!!

BT45s? If not, try them. They are great tyres on the smaller bikes. Or Pirelli Sport Demons.

I have BT45's on at the moment, just noticed my rear wheel is starting to go square after 12,000 k's or so. Still, I think that's just down to tyre pressures etc. Tyres have been brilliant for me so I may just get a new set of those....

However, I tend to do a lot of long distance riding/touring on the bike. Would Sports Demons be able to handle this?

About the same as BT45s. Similar compounds, I believe. The 2 tyres are often used in combination, rather than a set of either.
If you are doing a lot of commuting, easy touring, for longer life you will need to go to something with a harder compound, but then you lose some grip. Unless you can find some dual compounds that fit. Michelin Pilot Road 2s are brilliant, IF they come in your sizes go with them. Much more expensive than your BTs or SDs though.
